Invisible

Open & Invited Exhibition
12 February – 4 March 2010

Curated by Oliver Dowling, John Graham, and Margaret O’Brien

Concerned with the unseen, overlooked, or hidden, Invisible presents the work of 28 artists in 11 locations around Dublin city, including Irish Museum of Modern Art, National Gallery of Ireland, Temple Bar Gallery+Studios and Project Arts Centre. “Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others,” Jonathan Swift wrote, suggesting that the invisible contains the possibility of seeing within it. Tapping into our seemingly innate desire to look for the truth beyond appearances, the exhibition creates a trail of diverse artworks across a number of locations and events.
